The GET.PORT.PARAMS() function retrieves the communications parameters for a serial port.

 

 

Format

 

GET.PORT.PARAMS(fvar)

 

where

 

fvaris the file variable from the OPENSEQ statement that was used to open the port.

 

 

The GET.PORT.PARAMS() function returns a dynamic array containing the following data:

 

Field 1Port name
Field 2Baud rate
Field 3Parity mode (0 = off, 1 = odd, 2 = even)
Field 4Bits per byte
Field 5Stop bits
Field 6State of CTS (clear to send)
Field 7State of DSR (data set ready)
Field 8State of RING
Field 9State of DCD (carrier detect)

 

Programs should be written to allow for the possibility of additional fields being added in future releases.
